Bonjour, Thanks for the review of the Iberit lenses.
Did you have issues with the lenses? Alik Griffin has problems with the quality…, not the performance but parts coming of, focus problems after a certain time of use…
See the 75mm at BH for 535$…,almost the dubbele of the price you mention. Did not find it on Amazon. Com…
    Thank you very much,
    Abram Werner, France

They have new batch of lenses where they did improve quality control vs first batch made some
Months ago. Best is to use eBay links in the article to get them straight from the manufacturer

Hi Marc, thank you very much for you blog I find really useful. I actually shoot with my a6000+Zeiss 24/1.8 mainly landscapes and portaits of my family. I have a Sigma 60/2.8 for close up portraits I plan to upgrade to a FE 85/1.8. Loooking at the prices of the used first serie a7 I see I can trade a used body with my Zeiss 24 and then buy a 35 FE (possibly Zeiss) lens. What do you think? Are the image quality gains due to the larger sensor worth a slower autofocus?
    Best regards
    Sebastiano

    1. Marc Alhadeff Avatar

A7 will give you. Better iso and better blurry background for portraits with slower af
I would try to go at least to a7ii which now sells under 1000€/$

    Hi Mark,
I am wondering how to use focus stacking using A7R4 and Imaging Edge app? Given your vast experience, I hope you can explain.
    Thanks a lot.
    Best regards,

You need to use a macro rail not imaging edge application see my recent article on the Leo Foto mp150 macro rail

Marc, what is your opinion of the voightlander 58 1.4. I would like to use it on a Nikon FE and Sony A73 with adapter.

    Bonjour !

    Hello Marc
I would like to know your opinion on whether lenses should be equipped with UV filters.
    Thanks

    1. Marc Alhadeff Avatar

I equip my lenses with Hoya HD protector not with UV

I still have my Minolta 9xi , 600si and 28-105. Great cameras and lenses. Thank you for your tests. I bought the Kipon 35 after seeing your test. It’s not as good at the edges as my Zeiss 35f2 ZE but is very good at center ( f4 +) and is nice combo with the Canon R6II. No Sony for me … a Nex 5 years ago but sold it . Sony has great glass ( Minolta ) but don’t like the colors.

Hello. I have two suggestions which i would find very helpful.

Could you add a percentage score at the end of each lens review e.g. as an overall? It sometimes would be helpful as some lenses can be very close overall.

For the Chinese manual lenses, i notice a lot of the design are modelled off vintage or premium lenses. It would be helpful to add a description to show what the lens has been copied/modified from. I think this is quite useful for money saving reasons to avoid buying vintage or premium lenses.

    Thanks.
