4.1  Handling / Maniabilité

• The SEL20TC (680 euros) has a weight of 207gr and add 27mm height and add on top of the the Sony 400mm F2.8, we get a 800mm F5.6
• Considering the focal length you need to have a least 1/1000 sec and monopod / tripod is highly recommended
• Le SEL20TC (680 euros) pèse 207 gr et rajoute 27mm d’épaisseur au 400mm F2.8, on se retrouve donc avec 800mm F5.6
• Vu la focale , il faudra être au min à 1/1000 sec et de préférence avec un monopole ou un trépied

4.2 Sharpness / Piqué

The tests were made on a Sony A7RIII, the most demanding sensor with 42 Mpix

• Centre : excellent at f5.6, Outstanding at F8-F11, excellent at F16, Very good at f22
• Corners : Excellent from F5.6 – F11 , very good at F16-F22

Les tests on été effectués sur un A7RIII, le plus exigeant de la gamme Sony avec ses 42Mpix

• Centre : Excellent à F5.6 , superbe de F8-F11, excellent à F16, très bon à F22
• Coins : Excellent de F5.6 à F11 , très bon à F16-F22

Corners / Coins

4.3 Lens fall off / distorsion – Vignettage et distorsion

• both are very small and corrected by Lightroom
• La distorsion et le vignettage sont très faibles et corrigés par Lightroom

4.4 AF performance at 800mm

• The AF performance stay fantastic with the TC2.0, I did not notice any performances drop with or without the TC.
• Herebelow a burst of 30 frames, what is most difficult is to keep the subject running in the frame
• A speed of min 1/1000 sec is recommended 
• Les performances de l’AF ne sont pas dégradées par le TC2.0 et reste de très haut niveau
• Ci dessous une rafale de 30 images à 800mm F5.6, le plus difficile étant de maintenir un cadrage
• Une vitesse minimum de 1/1000 sec sera nécessaire
