Durant le salon de la photo à Bruxelles, j’ai eu l’occasion de discuter avec l’inventeur du Magic Camstrap et j’ai reçu une sangle en test

1 Presentation

The Camstrap is a simple and cheap (35 euros) new type of strap solde here , that was co developed in Switzerland with a Physiotherapist

The whole idea is to have a light strap that allow to walk without having the camera balancing when you walk, bike and that can be easily taken to the eye

The weight of the camera is split between the neck and the body making it much less painful on the neck than traditional straps

The strap is built in France with a very good material

La sangle Camstrap est un nouveau type de sangle simple et bon marché (35 euros) vendu en ligne ici , qui a été développé en Suisse par un kinésithérapeute

L’idéee principale est d’avoir une sangle légère qui permet à l’appareil de ne pas pendre autour du cou. Il est maintenu prêt du corps pour une protection totale contre les coups, chocs et vols.

 Avec Camstrap, le poids est reparti de façon égale sur les épaules au lieu de reposer uniquement sur le cou afin que vous ne sentiez plus jamais le poids de votre appareil.

La sangle est construite en France avec du matériel de qualité produit localement

2 Installation

Camstrap can be installed on all cameras. You can adjust its length according to your body

• Fix the strap anchor on the camera
• Loop the strap around your waist
• Rise up the strap around your neck

all is done in 8 seconds !

La sangle Camstrap s’adapte à tous les modèles d’appareil photo. Vous pouvez ajuster la longeur de celle ci pour l’adapter à votre morphologie

• Fixez les mousquetons aux anneaux de fixation de votre boitier
• Enfilez la sangle autour de votre taille
• Soulevez la sangle autour de votre cou
• Reposez , vous êtes prêt

3 Usage

• The camera does not move when you walk
• Just rise it to your eye to take a photo
• The strap also allows to have excellent stability for video or for macro work by maintaining a fixed distance between you and the camera
• The strap is also very good for anti theft purpose , you can sit at a cafe/restaurant with the camera well close to you. As the strap is very thin you can weak a jacket on top of it

• Le boitier ne bouge pas quand on marche
• Soulever le boitier pour prendre une photo
• La sangle permet également d’avoir une très bonne stabilité en vidéo ou pour du travail macro en tenant le boitier a une distance fixe du corps grâce à la sangle
• La sangle est aussi utile contre le vols , on peut s’associer dans un café / restaurant avec le boitier proche du corps . Comme la sangle est très fine on peut aussi la cacher sous une veste

4 Conclusion (English)

The Magic Cam-strap is simple , cheap (35 euros), very confortable and easy to use strap. It can be installed in a few seconds. It is the only strap I have tested that keep the camera close to the body when walking and allow to take to the eyes in 1 second

It’s only drawback ? it does not look luxurious and “sophisticated” enough for some!

4 Conclusion (Français)

Le Magic Cam-strap est simple , bon marché (35 euros), très confortable et facile à utiliser. Il s’installe en quelques secondes. C’est la seule sangle que j’ai testée qui garde le boitier près du corps quand on marche et que l’on peut mettre à l’oeil en 1 seconde.

Son seul défaut ? Pas assez luxueux et look pas assez sophistiqué pour certains !
